  • Kevin Sambol , DVM

Dr. Kevin Sambol is a lifelong Kansas resident and a 1982 graduate from Kansas State University College of Veterinary medicine. He received his pre-veterinary Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Kansas State University.

Following graduation, Dr. Sambol experienced several areas of the veterinary profession, (ask him sometime about working with an adult male gorilla at the Kansas City Zoo). He practiced as an ER veterinarian for five years long before Emergency Vets was on cable, was the lead veterinarian at the Kansas City Stockyards, (yes he is that old), and had his own practice in Olathe, Kansas for fourteen years as well as being the Hospital Manager of the Olathe Banfield Hospital for four years. Through it all, however, Dr. Sambol is very happy to be returning to private practice and joining Dr. Burd and his team at Oxford Animal Hospital.

Dr. Sambol has a wide variety of interests including music, sports ranging from everything have to do with K-State Athletics, the Chiefs, the Royals, and outdoor activities such as fishing. Dr. Sambol lives in Johnson County with his wife, Debbie, his children Dan, Liz, and A.J., as well as his two Golden Retrievers, Abby ( “the best dog I’ve ever had”), her daughter Bella, (“an extremely sweet dog, but not the sharpest tool in the shed”), and his Persian cat, Rudy, (he was a Christmas Eve present to Debbie, so he is named after Rudolph).

Being a veterinarian has been Dr. Sambol’s calling, and you will find knowledgeable, compassionate, enthusiastic, and with a smile on his face while caring for the four-legged family members of Oxford Animal Hospital.

Management

  • Rachel Pruitt , Operations Manager

Rachel Pruitt attended college at K-State.  She has worked here for over 6 years. Rachel is considered Dr. Burd’s right hand girl in regard to his specialty, “breeding”, here at the hospital.  To keep her company after she leaves the hospital at night, Rachel has two dogs, Hank and Haley and don’t forget her invisible dog Hannah (only in Becky’s mind).  Her fellow employees consider her a pro when it comes to working while handicapped (whether it be a broken bone in her wrist, or a broken foot). Rachel always ends up injured during softball season.  She can even do blood draws with her opposite hand (wouldn’t it be nice to be ambidextrous).

Lynn has been with Oxford since August of 2003. Her love for animals began at a very early age rounding up all the neighborhood strays and giving her mom “sorry, they just followed me home” excuse. Later she began showing and breeding St. Bernard’s and that love lasted for more than 10 years. She still misses that show ring !

We consider Lynn our “brain” behind the software and technical aspects of our computer system since she spent her days working for our software company prior to her start here.

Today, Lynn has her 7lb Chihuahua, “JeeJee” to keep her company when she is “resting” at home and a new little one named "Mickey", he is a whopping 1lb 12 oz at this time !  This is quite a difference from her heaviest dog being 210lbs. She also enjoys her yard and flower gardens, always making new spots for those "have to have" flowers.

When you visit Oxford you will notice a staff member walking around talking to herself, WELL, that would be Lynn ! (she has a cordless headset for an excuse ) haha !

  • Tedd Lamprecht

He now has Elvis and Lily, 5 year old beagles, a 12 yr. old Dachshund and 2 cats, Nike and Merriell.

    Vetsuite_Img_44122
Angie, 23 has worked at Oxfrod since October 2006.  When she is not fulfilling your everyday needs at the front counter she is spending time with her family.  You can always expect a smile and probably a laugh out of Angie when you are being checked out.  She loves animals, almost as much as she loves her morning coffee.

Her family entails her husband, daughter, a spoiled dog named Goose, 2 cats , lots of goldfish and koi.  Goose is half English Mastiff and half Great Pyrenees and weighs 125lbs.  Angie's daughter likes to use Goose as a pillow as they cuddle and watch Blue's Clues together.
